Norman Coleman
Club President 1977/78
Norman (Cola) is a member of a family with a long association with the Club. His father, Dicky captained Dolphin to a first Munster Senior Cup victory in 1921 and was Club President in 1957/58. His brother Dick was President in 1973/74.
Norman was on the Munster side narrowly defeated by the All Black’s 6-3 in January 1954 and was stand in captain in Dolphin’s last Munster Senior Cup victory in 1956, scoring all the teams points in the competition apart from a single drop goal.
J B Murphy
Club President 1972/73
Burr made his first appearance for Dolphin at U/14 before winning a couple of Senior Schools Cup medals with CBC. As a schoolboy also won Minor League & Cup medals in 1944. Played Senior for Dolphin for a few seasons, winning a Cork Charity Cup medal but was on a losing side in the Munster Senior Cup final of 1949.
He was responsible for reforming the Youth Section in the early 1970’s.
A regular in the Dolphin dressing room after matches, leading the victorious teams in rousing renditions of “Dolphin once again”.
Bertie O’Hanlon
Grand Slam Winner
Irish International 1947/50- 12 caps, 2 International Tries.
Won a Schools Medal with Rockwell and was South of Ireland Sprint Champion.
While his International career was just four seasons, he played on two Triple Crown winning teams and of course the famous “48” Grand Slam side.
Pearse O’Leary
Munster Senior Cup Winning Captain 1947/48
Pearse captained a side that won a 3rd Munster Senior Cup victory in five years. His vice captain was Bertie O’Hanlon, also on the side was fellow international Jim McCarthy and Norman Coleman.
Derry O’Shaughnessy
Club President 2003/04
Derry joined Dolphin in 1957, won a Cork Charity Cup medal in 1961. He was made a Hon. Life member in June 2007 in recognition for the work he has put into the club, particularly over the past decade as Treasurer and his many other roles.

Like Burr Murphy played with Dolphin Youths in 1939 and won a Schools Senior Cup Medal with CBC.Won five Irish caps and a Leinster Senior Cup medal with Lansdowne.
Was Vice- captain of the 1956 Senior cup winning team, missed the final through an injury which forced his retirement.
Jim Casey

Jim has been a great servant of the club for many years. He recently stood down as a Club Trustee but maintains his commitment to the club.
