AIL-  Clontarf 32  Dolphin 23

Dolphin had a dream start and then a reality check, all within the first seven minutes. In virtually the first minute, Ryan Murphy scored an unconverted try, but Clontarf scored two tries within the next five minutes,

 Clontarf had a 3rd try before half time, Barry Keeshan kept Dolphin in touch with two penalties leaving it 22-11 at half time.  The home side earned a bonus point with a 4th try but Dolphin did not lie down despite a 16 point deficit. Dolphin then scored a penalty try (4th of the season) to reduce the gap to nine points again, than 18 year old no 8 Ryan Murphy scored his 2nd try and Dolphin were back in bonus point territory again.

Unfortunately Tarf received another penalty which Richy Lane which made no mistake with and Dolphin were left disappointed, scoring three tries and 3 points on the road and coming back with nothing.

Dolphin put in a very good performance at Mahon on Saturday afternoon. From the kick off Eoin Dorgan collected the kick off and when challenged found Ryan O’Herlihy in support. From the resultant lineout Robert Phelan scored the first of his two tries. This followed a couple of tries each from Ryan O’Herlihy, Mike Varnum and Ciaran Cullinane. Ryan also kicked five conversions and Eoin Hodkinson two.
