The U/17′s took on Youghal at Musgrave Park, with the vistors openin the score but dolphin brought it to 5-7. Youghal had opened a gap t 12-7 before scoring the tries in a matter of five minutes making it 31-7, however Dolphin did score a converted try on half time.
The 2nd half was also a very high scoring half, with Dolphin scoring a further three tries, marginally outscoring Youghal, five tries being the highest Dolphin have scored this season.
The U/15 went to Whitechurch to take on Shandon, with most of the points coming from the O’Shaughnessy’s, Dolphin won by 27-19. Next week they take on Crosshaven , in crosshaven at 12.00, it would be appreciated if as many parents as possible attend.
Munster earned a home semi final in the Heineken Cup, at full time the Munster side contained four Dolphin players (James Coughlan, Tomás O’Leary, Dave O’Callaghan and Danny Barnes, the most Dolphin players that have played Heineken Cup together. Dave O’Callaghan made his Heineken Cup debut, so you had two Dolphinmen in the backrow, yet they have never played AIL in the backrow together- they played together twice last season but Dave was playing 2nd row.
