It is with great pleasure that Dolphin RFC formally confirm Brian Scott as Head Coach for the coming 2021/22 Season. Brian has been attached to the club for many years having been introduced by his Dad at 6 years of age. He played schools rugby in Pres Cork where he captained the Senior Team and played for Ireland U18’s and U20’s.

He made his Dolphin debut in Limerick in September 2013 in a 30 – 13 victory over Garryowen. He made 15 of his 35 Dolphin appearances in a season when they had home & away victories over Cork Constitution & Garryowen.

Brian represented Munster on 26 occasions (scoring two tries) during his time as a professional player. He also has a B&I Cup Winners Medal from 2017. He has great memories of his Munster Senior

debut against Scarlets and his Heineken Cup debut against Glasgow on that remarkable day for Munster’s first game following the untimely death of Axel Foley. Another great highlight for Scotty was to represent the Barbarians v Tonga in Thomond Park.

Now he brings that experience and ability back to his local club in order to pass it onto players and coaches alike throughout the club. His family are loyal Dolphin people and his Dad in particular having also played Prop at AIL level for Dolphin is now our most loyal fan always attending the home games whether Brian is involved or not. Cian is a stalwart member of the Senior Squad and another player of great potential. His Uncle Peter also played AIL for Dolphin and is a respected coach in his own right.

I wish Brian all the best in his endeavours with Dolphin. I know that he will give it 100% and having got to know him over the last number of years I am confident he will take us to the next level and set us on a course for Division 1 again. I look forward to working with him and the team of coaches and managers that we have in place.
