Dolphin had an impressive start to this fixture which took place on the main pitch under lights. Winger Shane O’Sullivan quickly crossed for the opening try while centre Ryan O’Herlihy converted from close to the corner flag.

Clonmel soon found their feet and their first try showed very good interplay and speed from their backs.  The Tipperary side hit the front with a penalty and a 2nd converted try. Dolphin brought themselves back into the game with a try from the other winger, Shane McCarthy.

A 3rd coverted try for Clonmel made it 12-24 before a Mikey Yiannaki try kept Dolphin in the hunt, a bonus point try converted by Ryan O’Herlihy leveled the game but Clonmel with a further penalty and converted try gave them a deserved victory by 24-34.
