On Sat 22nd February Dolphin entertain Nenagh Ormond in a classic most win game for both sides- it’s 9th v 10th with just a single point in between them.

It’s the first time that Dolphin have played three Tipperary sides in competitive rugby in the same season having played Cashel and also played Clonmel in the Munster Senior Cup in September-incidentally, Dolphin’s first ever Munster Senior Cup appearance was against another Tipperary side, Clanwilliam 106 years ago this month.

The first AIL fixture between Dolphin & Nenagh Ormond was on 29/04/17 the Division 1B play off final which Dolphin won 13- 6 with a try from Daryl Foley & seven points from the boot of Barry Keeshan.

Last season the sides met twice, Dolphin winning 46-17 at home while Nenagh won their home game thanks to a last minute drop goal 24-23.

It was very close again in Nenagh in November with Dolphin winning 21-18 with a last minute try, scoring two converted tries and a penalty try to six penalties.

It will be a very competitive game, we are looking forward to a big crowd coming out to give them their support.
