It was 13 years years since the sides last met in the AIL, Dolphin had an unbeaten league record v Highfield, however the home side (Highfield) were deserved winners on this occasion.

Highfield set out their stall early and scored an unconverted try in the 3rd minute. Dolphin with the wind in the opening half replied with a penalty goal through captain Darly Foley.

Highfield worked themselves back into the Dolphin 22 and crossed for a converted try to make it 12-3. Three more penalties, some from distance from Foley levelled the game at half time.

That was as good as it got for Dolphin as it took Highfield just a couple of minutes before they took the lead with a 3rd try, the task became much harder as Dolphin received two yellow cards in the 2nd period and in the final minutes Highfield scored two more tries.

Dolphin remain in 2nd last place, ahead of pointless Galwegians who will be visitors next weekend to Musgrave Park.
