Clonakilty started well, but the Ballincollig-Dolphin side found their groove with opening tries by Dolphin’s Lily Byrne, the 2nd converted by Meghan Crilly (Dolphin).
A third try around half time put the merged side into a comfortable lead, however the West Cork side continued to put the pressure on. They were rewarded with a try. The Ballincollig- Dolphin side struck twice more and Clonakilty were well worth a second try with the game finishing 27-12.
