During the Covid 19 lockdown we published Dolphin’s best amateur and professional sides, what we did not publish at the time was the best Dolphin (23) squad born outside of Ireland.

Just 7/23 players were Munster contracted players, the remainder, club players.

Callum MacKintosh 2019-20 Scotland 12 1 Played in the B & I Cup for both Gala and Hawick before joining Rugby United New York.
Julien Brugnaut 2009-10 France 6 0 The French International played for Munster for 1 year before spending 7 years with Racing
Chris Rowe 2008-16 Wales 120 14 Former Welsh U21 international, following retirement after 8 years with the club returned as Senior Coach
Dave Pomeroy 1996-07 New Zealand 106 9 Dave was the 2nd Dolphin player to make 100 AIL appearances, captained AIL Divison 2  winning team.
Nick Williams 2009-10 New Zealand 5 1 Moved on to Italy, returned to Ulster, was Pro 12 player of the season the first of his 4 seasons, just retired after 4 years with Cardiff.
Scott Holden 1991-95 New Zealand 17 3 New Zealand Schools international, had played for Dolphin for 4 years before the club qualified for the AIL
Steve Jackson 1997-98 New Zealand 11 2 New Zealand U19 Int. returned to play NPC with Southland. Played for Maori’s in 2002, presently Samoa Coach
Peter Phelan 2007-08 Exiles 16 0 Ireland Youths and Connacht U21
Mike Pettman 2002-04 New Zealand 18 9 Played wing/FB/Centre, but played half back for New Zealand Universities. Currently Munster Technical Skills Dev. Coach
Danny Barnes 2009-13 New Zealand 37 3 Following his spell with Munster Danny moved to Ealing Trailfinders.
James Storey 2004-05 England 6 4 After his spell with Munster, James went on to play with London Irish and London Welsh
Peter Owens 2006-07 Australia 11 3 Played 51 times for Australia 7’s.
Jack Clarke 1991-95 Kenya 46 9 Kenyan born, Irish International, following playing in the Munster Senior League Jack played 4 seasons in the AIL before moving to the mid west
Jarred Murrell 2004-05 New Zealand 14 5 Returned to NZ to play for top amateur side King Country
Richie McKinnie 2004-07 New Zealand 23 1 Came to Ireland  play rugby for a year and stayed- featured in TV3 series as a Paramedic
Hamish Adams 2001-02 New Zealand 15 0 Stuck to just coaching in his 2nd season, got Dolphin promoted to Division 1, headed Munster Academy ,later moved from CEO Rowing Ire to CEO Athletics Ireland
Peter Borlase 2010-11 New Zealand 1 0 Togged out just the once, later played for Hawkes Bay and Crusaders, currently Head Coach of  Glendale Raptors in USA MLR.
Sean Dougall 2012-14 Exiles 4 0 Following his spell with Munster, Sean joined James Coughlan at Pau and is currently with Valence  Romans Drome
Justin Melck 2008-09 South Africa 1 0 Technically had left Munster when he played for Dolphin, left Ireland following day, later represented Germany.
Tommy Parker 2010-11 Exiles 7 1 Former England U20 scrum half, currently player coach with Warlingham in London
Mike Kingsbeer 2005-06 New Zealand 6 3 Returned to NZ to Wellington  to Marist St Pats- will have enjoyed one game in 2009, scored 6 tries in that game.
Jussi Vijanen 2019 – Finland 18 2 Finland’s  15’s & 7’s captain
