Last Friday week James Coughlan, forwards coach with Provence was the happier man when Provence had a 22-17 victory over Valance Romans, a side for who Sean Dougall started in the backrow.

Valance Romans are 16/16 with 20 points, while Provence are in a much better place (12th  with 45 points) following three successive victories.

Just outside the Top 4 of D2 is Dave O’Callaghan’s Biarritz, he is joined by Billy Scannell, youngest of the Scannell family.

Colin Sisk is not in the Senior squad of Grenoble who are in 3rd place, Colin is playing for the Espoirs (U23’s).

Looking at other divisions. John Madigan is with RC Massey who lead Pool 1 of Federale 1, having won 17/18 of their games so far. 

The only former Dolphin player currently playing in the Top 14 is Dave Ryan with Agen. It is now nine years since he left Munster heading to Italy and then Ulster. Dave who will be 34 in April has played over 100 times for Agen and is contracted to the French side until June 2021.
