Dolphin fell to their first defeat of the season in Limerick today. They played with the wind in the opening half and a Daryl Foley penalty opened the scoring. The home side replied with an try and they were the only scores of the first half.
Old Crescent came out like a new team in the 2nd half (they changed back from their alternative kit to their regular one at half time.)
While they picked up the tempo, it took 20 mins for Old Crescent to score a try, and a further two tries soon followed.
It was Dolphin that finished with the try of the game, finished off by Eoghan Herlihy, Matt Barry being unlucky to see his conversion come back off the upright.
It’s Old Crescent who qualified to host Cork Constitution in the Munster Cup semi -final next week.
