Dear Members and Supporters of Dolphin RFC, 🏈welcome back🏈!,

By now some of you will have been to Autumn cup matches, many have been involved with meetings in preparation for the season ahead and all our players back to regular winter training.

Over the summer months a lot of work was carried out, the back pitch was re-seeded and thanks to Martin Lane our grounds chairman for arranging and supervising that work.
Our Management committee have had a few meetings to ensure club paperwork was up to date, sponsors secured, players recruited, rugby gear ordered and much more. Thanks to all those dedicated to making things happen.
The clubhouse has had repairs and painting done as well as some extra Jerseys and photos put up🏈
The website had a complete revamp and thanks to Ger Hodkinson for putting in the hours on that. It is fantastic. Please ensure you get your information from the website during the season.
Very importantly and happening now at the club is the Your Club Your Country IRFU draw and once again Noel Hickey and Dave Kirk have agreed to organise this but will need everybody’s help in selling the tickets and raising money directly for the Club. Please help when approached and many thanks to both men.
In this busy year of Rugby World Cup,  Pro 14’s and U.20 Internationals in Cork,  there is also The Mixed Ability Rugby World Cup next June in Musgrave Park.
We as a club, will assist Sunday’s Well in their hosting of the event, with back pitch availability and clubhouse facilities. They are also looking for volunteers as there will be approx 24 countries taking part.
If you can help between 7 – 12 June, please give name and mobile number to me.
There will also be concerts held next June ’20 at Musgrave Park and following those, it is hoped by the Munster Branch to have funding secured and develop the Minis pitch as planned. Anyone wanting more info on the plans, contact myself or any member of the committee.
THE CLUB NEEDS YOU,
Most of our members have played at some level in the club and will have benefitted from the volunteering of others, this maybe the time for you to give something back.
can you please volunteer in any of the following areas:
Rugby
Sponsorship/Fundraising
Bar  (can you help out for a few hours at Munster or Ireland U 20 game)
Catering
Any time you can give is much appreciated.
Family/Work commitments may not allow you give a regular time commitment this season, but why not set aside 90 minutes more often and come to a game, it does not have to be a Senior game, there are games Friday Nights, Saturday morning and afternoons and Sundays, just keep an eye on the website.
And so the AIL begins for the Seniors, 1st game this Sat at home to Cashel,
good luck to Captain Dave O Mahony and the entire squad, coaches and managers.
Best of luck to all Club teams J1’s, J2’s, U20’s, and all our Under Age and Minis teams, I hope Dolphin will return to London Irish in the Spring and retain the ‘title’. For anyone who has not been to the Minis tournament, it is really well run event with teams from around Europe and your heart would fill with pride to see two Dolphin teams compete and win.
Thanks to Declan Kidney for presenting our lads with their medals and for the hospitality to all from Dolphin.
Thanks for taking time to catch up, We are Dolphin Once Again !! (How appropriate)
Sincerely,
Suzanne Reidy Murphy
Club President
