It was yet another successful day in Musgrave Park as our Senior Women once again came away with the spoils after beating a tough Ennis-Kilrush side 33-29 in the opening round of the Munster Divisional Cup.

With tries from Saoirse Kearney, Hannah McMahon, Laoise Cahill-Murphy and Karla Doyle, these ladies managed to claw themselves back from the 10 point deficit that occurred in the opening minutes of the game.

Dolphin remained just a point behind at half time. An off the ball incident in the opening minutes of the second half resulted in an Ennis player being shown a straight red. Dolphin took this opportunity and quite literally ran with it.

The game was kept on a knifes edge for the entire 80 minutes as both teams played some magnificent end to end rugby.

It was Dolphin who came out victorious once again and remain the only team undefeated in Munster this season.

Next up for our ladies is Limerick rivals Shannon who they will play in Coonagh Saturday week.

With a League quarter-final and a Division One Cup semi-final already set, it truly is shaping up to being an exciting season for this young squad.
