Dolphin played into the wind in the opening half of his vital AIL Fixture. They had the brighter start, but it was the Dublin side that open the scoring with an unconverted try. Dolphin soon equalised through Phillip Dowling. In the 35th minute a penalty goal for Wanderers put them in front and a converted try gave the Dublin side a 5-15 lead at half time.

Eoghan Herlihy scored Dolphin’s 2nd try in the 44th minute, Daryl Foley’s conversion made it 12-15. Wanderers replied with a penalty and then a penalty from Foley narrowed the gap to 15-18.

Wanderers were not finished, they extended their lead to 15-21, the 2nd placed side in the table could not shake Dolphin off and while they got the win, Dolphin got a losing bonus point.
