Fiona Hayes made 24 appearances for Ireland, her first cap came in 2013 on the 6 Nations Grand Slam winning side that also defeated New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup.

Fiona has been involved with coaching the Dolphin J2’s and U 20’s over the past 3 years. In 2018-19 she  was combining the Munster U 18 women, UCC Women and Dolphin J2 sides.

Last year in a newspaper article she said :

“I coached Dolphin’s Men’s J2 team last season and enjoyed it having been unsure how I’d get on coaching lads but it was brilliant and I loved every minute.”

She is currently Head coach of  UL Bohemians Womens Team and in May 2020 was presented the Energia Women’s AIL Coach of the Year.

She was also a successful soccer player, captaining the UL side that won the WSCAI Intervarsities cup and won the WFAI Intermediate Cup with Douglas Hall.
