Suzanne Reidy- Murphy was elected President of Dolphin at the Club’s 116th AGM this evening.

The Reidy connection with Dolphin comes back to the 1930’s when her father Gerald first appeared in Dolphin colours playing for Dolphin Youths. He went one to be capped for Ireland and in 1983/84 served as President of the IRFU. 50 Years ago he was Dolphin President for the first time, and was Dolphin Centenary President in 2002-03.

Her mother Anne  was also very well known in rugby circles, a member of the Kiernan family, her brother Jim was also a Dolphin President while another brother Tom captained the Lions. Anne ran her own tight ship, the Dolphin Kitchen ran like clockrock and quality was alsways excellent.

Suzanne grew up around Dolphin spending many hours in the Kitchen and the last few seasons she was back there organising the Kitchen & Bar putting phenomenal hours as House Chairperson.

Daryl Foley is club captain, normally a scrum half, like his brother Ryan with Nice, the Crosshaven man is also comfortable at playing 10.

We wish them an enjoyable and hopefully fruitfull season.

A special mention about Ronnie Moore, he was elected  an Honorary Life Member, well worthy of the accolade.
