10th June 2017, two former Dolphin team mates lined up against each other, on opposite sides in Harrison, New Jersey, Niall Scannell for Ireland and John Quill for US Eagles. It was honours even as far as scoring was concerned with both men touching down for tries.
16 months later and they will both be at Soldier Field in Chicago but not facing each other, but maybe in 3 weeks time.
Game 2 on Saturday will see Niall Scannell starting at Hooker for Ireland, game 3 on the day is US Eagles v Maori All Blacks, with John Quill names at 6.
He is the 2nd most experienced player in the Squad, earning his 28th cap.
We hope the day goes well for them both and look forward to a possible rematch in 3 weeks time.
