Wonderful International Day for Former Dolphin Team Mates

Both Niall Scannell & John Quill played significant roles for their respective International sides on Saturday.

Niall earned his 8th Irish International cap v Australia, the first Irish victory on Australian soil since 1979. Quilly , who is Eagle #435 has earned 27 caps for USA Eagles, the win over Scotland was the first one over a Tier One side in 94 years since their victory over France in the 1924 Olympic Games.

John Quill is playing for Glendale Raptors, the Colorado based team is  leading the Major League Rugby standings two weeks ahead of the MLR playoffs.having defeated the Seattle Seawolves at the weekend they remain undefeated. Unfortunately Quilly suffered a leg injury in the last moments of the game and will miss next week ends fixture v Canada.

The photograph was from the June 2017 fixture between Ireland & USA Eagles, a game where they both scored tries- Rory Scannell scoring 2 conversions.

Last Friday The 42 published an article on Niall  Scannell but said Sat was going to be a very important day for RORY Scannell, to which Rory replied, it was, on a beach in Portugal.

"16 seasons of AIL rugby come to an end for the record-breaking Barry Keeshan today."
