It was quite a entertaining game despite it being in a very wet and windy Rathcooney between Old Christian J1’s and a Dolphin U20/J1 side, made up of mainly U20’s.
The physically bigger Old Christians side with the wind at their back dominated the opening half, building up a 19-0 lead until Eoin Hodkinson opened Dolphin’s account in the final play of the first half.
Mid way through the 2nd half Will Black, having been earlier denied ,scored a try, converted by Ryan O’Herlihy. In the final play prop Luke Jordan was not going to be denied and he made it 17-19 before Ryan O’Herlihy equalised with the conversion.
